A visit to The Arts Colony (TAC), one of many attractions located in Corona Heritage Park, is a chance to expand your appreciation for the arts while immersing yourself in a wash of local culture. At TAC you can enjoy viewing the work of artists from southern California and beyond in a casual atmosphere. You may even have the pleasure of watching artists in residence create their next masterpiece.

TAC and the entire Corona Heritage Park is a testament to the people of the community as it is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. Arriving at the park feels like you’re arriving to a special location—and you are! The site of Corona Heritage Park is a historical lemon ranch. TAC and the other park attractions are spread out across five-acres where lemons once grew. The gallery itself is situated in a charming turn-of-the-century home, one of several preserved buildings that house the park’s educational and visitor centers.

You never know what type of art you’ll see at TAC. Themed shows rotate throughout the year and may focus on a variety of media. Several members are award-winning artists, respected in more than one art society and nationally recognized, so sometimes the work displayed can be of a very high caliber. Some shows feature the work of less experienced artists or grade-school students. But no matter what show happens to be running when you visit, the experience of seeing a working art colony is fun and educational.

TAC is open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and is only a 20-minute drive from Field House Restaurant. After checking out all the great art and doing some shopping—many of the artworks are for sale—you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy dinner and spend some time discussing your favorite pieces of the day.
