It’s coming up soon, so be sure you don’t miss the city of Norco’s July 4th celebration! Our city will host a number of festive activities throughout the day. There’s something for everyone in your family.
Morning: Patriotic Equestrian Trail Ride
From 9:30am until noon, equestrian enthusiasts can enjoy a free patriotic trail ride. Meet in the Ingalls Park parking lot 2, and dress yourself and your horse out in your best red, white, and blue. There will be a prize for the best dressed duo (that’s horse and rider, mind you).
The trail ride is a fairly simple one without any steep portions or river crossings. If you want to participate, arrive early. Sign-ups start at 9am.
Midday: Picnic in the Park
Your next free destination is Pikes Peak Park, where a free family-friendly (no alcohol allowed) party is going on from 11:30am until 3pm. There will be music, games, and fun for the family. The picnic is free, but barbecue and other refreshments will be available for purchase.
Noon Till Night: Our Country Fourth of July Fireworks and Concert Festival
The city saved the best for last. From noon on, the SilverLakes complex will host a huge festival, with rides, food trucks, family fun, multiple full bars, and concerts all day. The lead act is SMASH MOUTH, which is sure to be a good time. Oh, and did we mention fireworks? There will definitely be fireworks!
The best part? SilverLakes is where we call home! Sure, the food trucks are fun, but for a more comprehensive culinary experience come see us at The Field House Restaurant and Bar.
(Please note: Festival tickets aren’t free, but Norco residents can get free admission to the festival here. All—including Norco residents—must pay for parking.)
