It’s a new year once again, and with the new year comes new goals and resolutions. Have you set goals for fitness or overall health for the coming year? Are you planning to transform yourself and find a “new you?”
If so, congratulations! (And we hope our post about donuts last week didn’t derail you too badly!)
It can be hard to stay focused on lifestyle changes for the long term. It’s not so bad for the first few weeks. But soon the novelty wears off. And to make matters worse, life catches up with you. You run out of time or fail to plan for a meal, and suddenly your plan seems in jeopardy.
Eating Out Becomes Tricky Business
Most fitness-related new year’s resolutions involve some sort of dietary change. That’s no big deal if you’re a healthy, wealthy person with tons of free time. But for the rest of us, it’s tough to plan all those healthy, home-cooked meals.
Even the best planners will eventually get caught by surprise. You’ll have no choice but to grab some food while you’re out. And eating out becomes a tricky business.
Choose Real Food, Not Fast Food
One of the best ways to keep to your goals when eating out is by making smart choices about where to eat out. Even the salads at fast food restaurants are (generally) terrible for you. Whenever possible, choose a restaurant that cooks real food. Don’t settle for fast food.
Let Us Be Your Ally for Healthy Eating
Speaking of real restaurants serving real food, The FieldHouse Restaurant and Bar does just that. Of course, we have plenty of more indulgent dishes, but we also keep numerous healthier selections on our menu. Stop by and check out what’s new. Our staff can walk you through the best choices for your particular diet.
Don’t let bad restaurant food ruin your 2020 goals. Eat healthy with us instead!
