The city of Norco in sunny Southern California is full of opportunities for outdoor adventures. Here are 3 of our favorite outdoor adventures in or near Norco.
Horseback Riding
Norco is a community with an intentional equestrian theme, so it’s no surprise that you’ll find some great horseback riding opportunities here. Trail-riding adventures such as those from S & D Horseback Riding (the S & D stand for Sunshine and Daydreams) will delight children and adults alike and focus on the novice rider. Facilities like Prado Park Equestrian Center offer a deeper experience, including dressage, jumping, and round arenas.
Hiking/Walking
Most of California is great for hiking, and Norco is no exception. The Pumpkin Rock Trail is worth your time. It’s a quirky, short hike with a photo finish. Also nearby is the Graffiti Rock waterfall. These two hikes are both pretty short and could easily be done in one day. Both these hikes are dog-friendly, too, so bring your pup along!
Visit a Park
Norco and the surrounding region have no shortage of great city and county parks. Just a stone’s throw from Norco you’ll find Eastvale’sRiverwalk Park, which has a great variety of activities. Enjoy walking/cycling trails, disc golf, and even horse riding trails (horses not included, though). Closer to home in Norco, don’t miss the SilverLakes Equestrian and Sports Park either. This park truly has something for everyone: 24 soccer fields, 5 synthetic lit fields, significant equestrian facilities, an outdoor cafe, and a concert venue with a capacity of 10,000.
